Welcome to the web home of the Four State QRP Group, devoted to low power (QRP) amateur radio building and operation.

Four State QRP Group News:

New kit from 4SQRP - The NS-40 is an innovative and easy to build Class E 40 meter transmitter.  'NS' stands for None Simpler, and there is a reason for that! There are only 13 total parts, and NO TOROIDS, NO COILS of any kind to wind - NONE!  It is an upgraded version of the overall winner in the FDIM 2008 Homebrew  Contest. Designed by David Cripe, NMØS, it is a truly unique QRP transmitter design.

The 4SQRP HF Test Set kit is back - The popular HF test set is available again.  We have 20 kits ready to ship now and if there is enough interest, we will do another run.  Check the test set kit page for details.

January meeting - We will meet on January 17th at  Barney's Kitchen in Seneca, MO.  Lunch is at 11:00 AM.  Come and
join the fun!  Click here for driving directions to Barney's.

Check out the new downloadable "Portable Ops Brochure" created by Walter K5EST.

About 4SQRP: Our group is an informal organization with no officers, no rules, no dues or any other things to get in the way of having fun with QRP. All ham radio amateurs (or prospective hams) are invited to participate.

Barney's in Seneca, MOMeetings: We get-together monthly (not really a meeting, cause there is no business to discuss) for lunch and the sharing of ideas and information, parts swapping and just plain fun. The next meeting will be at Barney's Kitchen on Saturday, January 17th at 11:00 AM.  Barney's is located at the southern end of the Seneca, MO business district.  Click here for driving directions to Barney's.

Please come and join us for lunch. If you can, bring a QRP rig, a building project, a QRP magazine, QSL cards, or whatever to share with the group. We would love to see what you are doing with QRP and homebrew. After lunch, if the weather is cooperative, we often adjourn to the local city park for some on-the-air operation.

E-Mail Reflector: We have a E-Mail reflector to help exchange information and news. All QRP'ers and homebrewers are invited to participate. Information on the 4SQRP reflector is available here: E-Mail Reflector

Four State Kits

The NS-40 transmitter kit is brand new and ready to ship.

The HF Test Set kit is available again.

There are less than 30 of the KD1JV "Tenna Dipper" kits available and when they are gone, the kit will be retired.  This is a handy piece of antenna test equipment no amateur should be without.

The KD1JV QRP Power and SWR Meter kit is out of stock.

Comfortable CW Net - There are now two 80 meter CW nets on Wednesday evening on 3562.5 KHz.  If we have to QSY a little, lets move up a half KHz
at a time until we find a clear spot.

10 wpm or less starting at 7:30 Central time
15 wpm and up beginning at 8:00 Central time
Those from 10 to 15 can go either way, or do both, depending on how they feel that night.

This is an informal net at "comfortable" CW speeds.  Slow and rusty fists welcome!

Wednesday Warble - We have an informal roundtable session each Wednesday evening throughout the year at 9:00 PM Central time on the 80 meter band using PSK-31 mode. Look for us on or near 3580.5 KHz. All hams within range of our signals are invited to join the fun.

160 Meter Activity Night - During the winter, look for us on or near 1810 KHz on Sunday evenings around 9:00 PM Central time. This is not a net, just an informal operating activity on "top band".
