Our first QRP forum was held at the Southside Amateur Radio Club "Octoberfest 2002" hamfest at Grandview, Missouri (south of Kansas City) on Saturday, October 19th, 2002.
This was an informal and fun session where we met several Kansas City area QRP'ers and introduced them to the Four State QRP gang.
Gene, NØMQ and Joe WØMQY brought a PSK-31 station demonstration station, using FT-817 and laptop computer. Joe set up his homebrew portable rotatable dipole antenna just outside the room.

Most of the FSQRP'ers brought several rigs for show and tell. Our guests had a chance to see several of the QRP kits available on the market as well as a couple of homebrew projects.

The forum was fun. Thanks to the Southside Amateur Radio Club for the opportunity to present QRP and to all the FSQRP'ers who made it happen!
