Grandview Hamfest QRP Forum 2003

The Four State QRP Group held a QRP forum at the Southside Amateur Radio Club "Octoberfest 2003" hamfest at Grandview, Missouri (south of Kansas City). This was the second year we have conducted a forum at Grandview.

Jim WØEB made a nice presentation of QRP in action with demonstrations of the PAC-12 portable antenna and the Small Wonder DSW-II transceiver. The informal program included a "show and tell" of several QRP rigs and accessories and information about the 4SQRP group and our activities.

There were 9 attending the QRP forum. Closest to the camera is Joel KDØHU and to his right is Bob KØFPC.

Forum attendees were:
Dave WDØBBN, Larry ABØAH, Dennis KCØIFQ, Wayne NØEA, Joel KDØHU, Bob KØFPC, Dan NØDT, Jim WØEB and Dave WØCH.
Jim put WØEB/P on the air from inside the forum room with two 20 meter QSO's. Just outside the door on the lawn is Jim's PAC-12 antenna.

Thanks to the Southside Amateur Radio Club for permitting us to hold this QRP forum. The Grandview hamfest is one of the best in the four states and the facilities available there are first class!
