Spring has arrived in the Four States. The temperature was in the upper 60's as 8 QRP'ers assembled back at Barney's Kitchen in Seneca, MO. Our host, Barney, has been away for two months of well deserved vacation and we sure missed our monthly Barney lunches. Today's special was chicken and noodles. Doug, it was pretty tasty!

The main topic of discussion was the upcoming OzarkCon QRP convention (April 9 and 10). Looks like everything is proceeding smoothly and we will have a fantastic convention!

Tom, N2UHC brought his brand new American QRP Club "Tin Ear" 40 meter receiver for show and tell. As usual, Tom did a very nice job constructing the receiver. He has more info about his project on his N2UHC web site.

On the Barney's menu is our first look at the AmQRP Tin Ear receiver, constructed by Tom N2UHC. This neat little receiver is pretty compact.

A better view of the Tin Ear. Tom reports that it tunes the entire 40 meter band plus a bit above and below.

Another view of the Tin Ear receiver.

Here is a close-up view view of the PTO tuning inductor.

From left to right around the picture are Nancy NØFNZ, Joe WØMQY, Cecil NØEHP (far table) and Gene NØMQ.

Here's Jay KØETC, Tom N2UHC and Jim Newton getting ready for lunch.

OzarkCon - April 9 & 10

Gene and Cecil show us the new 4SQRP banner! Look for it at OzarkCon.
