Welcome to the web home of the Four State QRP Group, devoted to low power (QRP) amateur radio building and operation.

Four State QRP Group News:

Field Day 2008
Field Day is June 28 and 29!  4SQRP will be operating from Twin Bridges state park near Wyandotte, OK.

Our first choice for sites will be the Echo Hollow area of the campground, on the east side of state highway 137.

Click on the park map for a larger map image.  If the Echo Hollow area is unavailable, then check all areas of the park for antennas.

The July 4SQRP meeting will be Saturday, July 19th at Barney's Kitchen in Seneca, MO.  We meet at 11:00 AM, and if the weather is nice, we are planning to opperate from the Seneca city park after lunch.  Bring a rig and join the fun!  Click here for driving directions to Barney's.

About 4SQRP: Our group is an informal organization with no officers, no rules, no dues or any other things to get in the way of having fun with QRP. All ham radio amateurs (or prospective hams) are invited to participate.

Barney's in Seneca, MOMeetings: We get-together monthly (not really a meeting, cause there is no business to discuss) for lunch and the sharing of ideas and information, parts swapping and just plain fun. The next meeting will be at Barney's Kitchen on Saturday, July 19th at 11:00 AM. Barney's is located at the southern end of the Seneca, MO business district.  Click here for driving directions to Barney's.

Please come and join us for lunch. If you can, bring a QRP rig, a building project, a QRP magazine, QSL cards, or whatever to share with the group. We would love to see what you are doing with QRP and homebrew. After lunch, if the weather is cooperative, we often adjourn to the local city park for some on-the-air operation.

E-Mail Reflector: We have a E-Mail reflector to help exchange information and news. All QRP'ers and homebrewers are invited to participate. Information on the 4SQRP reflector is available here: E-Mail Reflector

Four State Kits

The HF Test Set kit is sold out.

The last 100 of the KD1JV "Tenna Dipper" have been kitted and when they are gone, the kit will be retired.  This is a handy piece of antenna test equipment no amateur should be without.

The KD1JV QRP Power and SWR Meter kit is out of stock.

CW Nets - The 80 meter CW nets are back on the air.  These are informal nets at "comfortable" CW speeds.  Look for the nets on Tuesday and Wednesday evenings.

Tuesday...... 9 PM Central, 3562.5 KHz

Wednesday.... 7 PM Central, 3562.5 KHz

Wednesday Warble - We have an informal roundtable session each Wednesday evening throughout the year at 9:00 PM Central time on the 80 meter band using PSK-31 mode. Look for us on or near 3580.5 KHz. All hams within range of our signals are invited to join the fun.

160 Meter Activity Night - During the winter, look for us on or near 1810 KHz on Sunday evenings around 9:00 PM Central time. This is not a net, just an informal operating activity on "top band".
